The Legg Mason Tennis Classic is an event with U.S. Open Series competitions including 48 singles and 16 doubles teams. The benefits of the tennis world class tennis event in Washington and Education Foundation (WTEF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Washington, DC area youth through tennis, educational and community activities. The 2011 tournament includes defending champion David Nalbandian, current world number 23, and the ATP World Tour No. 9 Mardy Fish, No. 10 Andy Roddick, No. 11 Jurgen Melzer and No. 12 Viktor Troicki, and 2010 runner-up Marcos Baghdatis (Cyprus), Milos Raonic rising Canadian star of 2007 runner-up John Isner and the 2002 champion and 2005 runner-up James Blake.

The 7500-seat tennis center, also known as Rock Creek Tennis Center is located in Rock Creek Park, a branch of the National Park Service.
Parking
Parking for the Legg Mason Tennis Classic is very limited in the tennis center itself, so it is recommended that viewers take the Metro to Van Ness UDC station. Free shuttle service will operate every 10-12 minutes starting one hour before the fighting started and runs until one hour after the last match. You can also park at the Van Ness UDC Metro station and ride the free shuttle bus. Special Events
National Parks Leisure Family Day - Saturday, July 30 closing gates open at 9 am, families (up to six people, with at least one of less than 18 years of age) have free access to this year's National Parks Family Day fun! The first 3,000 people to sign the Legg Mason Tennis Classic website will receive a free ticket for reserved seats and good dining. Families function daily activities and entertainment such as moon bounces, games, face painters, and local team mascots, and pet adoption in accordance with the annual Washington Animal Rescue League to help and pets find homes in Barking Holler dogs loving home and cats.
Military Appreciation Day - Sunday, July 31 Doors open at 9:00. Active duty military will receive free tickets to Sunday's session. Tickets are first come, first served (up to 3000 tickets will be available) and must be picked up at a designated USO Center. Must present a valid military identification. Limit 6 tickets per ID holder and subject to availability. The day's activities will include a ceremonial guard and military honors Color Guard, a flag wave and fitness competitions.
USTA member appreciation day - Monday, August 1, gates open at fifteen years. USTA members, present the card at the box office will receive a 2-for-one discount (limit four [4] free tickets per person) is reserved tickets for Monday, August 1st meeting.
WTEF Pro-AM - Monday, August 1st-04 :00-5: 30pm. This is a special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play with professional players ATP in a fun environment. After your session with professional tennis WTEF also invites you and a guest to watch the evening matches in an air-conditioned suite with dinner and drinks. There are only 24 places available! Chefs Challenge - Monday, 1 August 6 to 20. Tickets: $ 70/person. Rums of Puerto Rico, home to an exciting race cuisine, which has served the local DC, chefs are fighting against time. Who can create the most flavorful and original dishes by infusing a variety of rum in Puerto Rico, as an ingredient theme? Winner will be decided in a celebrity panel of judges. The price includes food and drinks during the race Monday as ticket-session games.
Corona Alumni Night at the Net - Tuesday, August 2 6-08:00. Tickets: $ 50 per person. Represent your alma mater and show school spirit at the tournament "tailgate party official." Corona Night at Alumni Net will feature games, college sports info, special appearances by Corona girls and other entertainment. Take advantage of Corona beer, soft drinks and appetizers with friends recalled memories of college fun, meet a professional tennis player, and watch the world-class tennis all for only $ 50 per person.
Tasting evening - Thursday, 4 August 6-20 hours. Tickets: $ 70/person. The wine tasting will offer a special wine tasting and signing of the tournament, including sommeliers will be available to answer questions and offer suggestions for pairing. Tickets include entrance to the tasting of wine and a reserved seat ticket for the Thursday, August 04 session.
Stars of Tomorrow Junior Challenge - Thursday through Saturday, August 4-6. Bravo for the next generation of professional tennis event in DC tennis round robin. Children aged 10 and under from various training centers leading the Washington Metropolitan area will participate in both singles and doubles competition. Championship on Saturday afternoon. Help support the stars of tomorrow.
